What are we inspired by?

Camilla's love of jewelry began when she was young. Brought up in Zambia, and other parts of Africa, she has fond memories of skipping around the back of the food market in Kitwe when accompanying her mother on weekly food shopping trips. There her siblings and herself would find the local witch doctor and be enchanted by malachite eggs, ivory bangles and the like.

Also her mother worked in a tribal gallery and would have little lapis lazuli and chrysoprase butterfly pendants in Kabwe silver made for them....this was the early 1970s!

So, Camilla had always been enthralled by natural gemstones and hence her jewelry is oriented that way. Pebbles, her daughter, has likewise been exposed to the world of gems from an early age. Long travels to India and other southeast asian countries have given mother and daughter a recollection of fond memories and stories from which the inspiration for the jewels comes from.
Travel, food, art, history and personal interactions are the source of their designs.
